Vivienne Lim, RAD RTS (England), Cert of HE (England), MBA

Artistic Director

Miss Vivienne grew up in Brooklyn, New York City. She started taking ballet as a very young child and has been dancing for over 40 years. She is fully trained and certified by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and received her classical ballet training in Malaysia, New York City, Los Angeles, and London. She is also a proud alumna of New York University and Hawaii Pacific University.

In New York City, Miss Vivienne was privately taught by Ballet Masters Christine Neubert and Valery Taylor. While attending the New York University School of Law, she danced professionally with the Carnegie Ballet and the American Ballet Theater. She then moved from professional dance to corporate work, while teaching dance part-time. It was then that she discovered her great love for teaching dance. She left the corporate world behind to fully commit to teaching young dancers.

Her next stop was the University of Surrey in England where she earned a degree in Ballet Education and full RAD teacher certification.  Upon graduating she was offered and took the position as the Young Children’s Program Director at Dance Studio No. 1 in Santa Monica, California. There, she successfully entered hundreds of students for the RAD examinations annually, and trained young dancers for the International Dance Acclaim (New York) Medal Performance.
With a young family to consider, she decided to move to Hawaii and introduce RAD to the dance community.  In 2010, the Royal Academy of Ballet opened its doors. Today, The Royal Academy Of Ballet enters its twelfth year of success. With over 26 years of teaching behind her, Miss Vivienne continues to share her wealth of experience, passion for dance, and her great love and respect for children with each and every one of her young dancers.
